Senior High Retreat 2025!

November 21-23, 2025

REGISTRATION IS OPEN

The Senior High Retreat is specifically geared for high school youth. This retreat can be an opportunity to connect on the real struggles that high school presents, explore what life after high school might look like, and how we can live faithfully through it all.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be immersed in community on the mountain, in which we will discover and affirm the gifts that God has given us. November in the mountains can be chilly, but also refreshing both physically and spiritually. Join us and other senior high youth in the Synod for a faith adventure in the mountains!

ABOUT PASTOR NATE PREISINGER:

Pastor Nate Preisinger (or you can just call him Nate) earned his Bachelor’s Degree at St. Olaf College and received his Master of Divinity and a Certificate in Theological Education for Emerging Ministries at Wartburg Seminary. Since then, Nate has spent time as the mission developer of a young adult ministry in Buffalo, NY (Go Bills!), as the Director of Admissions at United Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia (Yum Cheesesteaks!), and as the pastor of churches in Buffalo, Philadelphia, and now at Bethany Lutheran Church in Denver (Hooray Lutherans!).
Nate is married to Amanda and they have three children, Evelyn (13), Solomon (10), and Miriam (7). Together they have fun creating and playing board games, hiking around Colorado, visiting the library, and doing science experiments. Additionally, Nate enjoys listening to music, running on the High Line Canal, reading multiple books simultaneously, practicing and teaching yoga, and watching or playing basketball.

MORE ON THIS YEAR’S THEME:

“Sacred Conversations in a Divided World”

Our world feels louder every day as the noise and division seem to escalate each day.  High school students know this better than anyone.  Social cliques, social media, and even family dinners can become battlegrounds. But what if there’s another way?
This retreat is about practicing the kind of dialogue Jesus lived: asking real questions, listening with empathy, and discovering God’s presence in one another’s stories.  Through creative worship, honest conversation, Bible study and more, we’ll explore what it means to be people of faith who dare to listen and learn. Together we’ll see how Christ calls us into conversations that heal instead of harm and that bridge divides instead of widening them.
Expect real talk, space for reflection, and a community where you don’t have to have it all figured out. Because following Jesus isn’t about having the loudest voice; it’s about learning to hear God’s presence in unexpected places and from unexpected voices.
