***ABOUT THE
BOOK***
“When the Bell Rings” is the first
complete written history of the ministry of Rainbow Trail. This
book shares the strong story of how the Holy Spirit moved
over and over again in amazing ways as it shaped the ministry
that happens through this special place. “When the Bell
Rings” contains
information on the Rainbow Lake Club and how it came to be Rainbow
Trail Lutheran Camp. It also contains brochures, historical photos,
advertisements, and quotes that capture the rich history of RTLC.
***ABOUT
THE AUTHOR***
Angela Tarrant moved to Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp with her
husband, John in the spring of 2000. They have one daughter Elizabeth,
age 16. Angela works as supervisor of Microbiology at Heart of
the Rockies Regional Medical Center in Salida and also homeschools
Elizabeth. Angela's passions include photography, videography,
and woodwork. She also loves traveling with John and Elizabeth.
She and John especially enjoy extended motorcycle trips.
***ABOUT
THE PROJECT***
After living at Rainbow Trail for several years, it became apparent
that a written document preserving the stories and photographs
of camp needed to be compiled. So, Angela decided to write a
history book covering 50 years of RTLC. There are also stories
about the Rainbow Lake Club, its owners, and how it came to
be purchased by the Rocky Mountain Synod. The book contains
numerous historical photographs, brochures, advertisements,
and quotes that help capture the rich history of Rainbow Trail
Lutheran Camp.
