RULES***
Welcome to the Official Contest Rules of RTLC's Promo Video Contest.
Here you will find all of the rules and regulations of the contest,
and you will also be able to download the music for use in your
video along with being able to request video footage should you
choose. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
***THE OBJECTIVE***
Use the creative gifts God has blessed
you with to make a promo video for RTLC. Through this, share
your experiences at camp with others in order to show what Rainbow
Trail's ministry is to YOU and why others should come and be
a part of RTLC's ministry.
People of all ages are encouraged to participate.
***THE DEADLINE***
The deadline for submitting your promo video is April
20th, 2008. All videos must be postmarked by this date.
Winners will be selected around May 1st and notified shortly thereafter.
***THE VIDEOS***
Simply create a Promo Video for use by Rainbow Trail that is around 2 minutes
in length. Videos can be longer or shorter than 2 minutes, but do not exceed 5 minutes.
Be as creative as possible!
Use either the provided music (found below) or your originally written music
so that Rainbow Trail doesn't break any copyright laws.
All submitted videos become the property of Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp.
***VIDEO FOOTAGE & PHOTOS***
Feel free to use any video footage, photos, text, or images that you may have
that help to convey Rainbow Trail's ministry to others. Feel free to get creative
and use programs such as Flash if you desire, to create animations or special
effects.
If you need footage or photos, please send an e-mail to rtlcweb@gmail.com specifically
requesting footage. Please include your mailing address and we will mail you
a DVD with footage on it for use in your video.
DVDs will be mailed out beginning February 1st, 2008.
***SUBMITTING YOUR VIDEO***
There are two important steps to follow in submitting your final video
1) Mail Your Final Data File By April 20th, 2008
After completing your RTLC Promo Video, please mail a final copy of the data
file (.mov format) to the address listed below. Please DO NOT burn a formatted
DVD for use in DVD players. Simply burn the data file to a CD or DVD depending
on file size.

If you have a YouTube Account or would like to create one, please feel free to
upload your promo video onto your own account. All videos will be posted to RTLC's
Promo Video Account found HERE.
If you upload your
video to your account, please include the following tags
with your submission so that others will find it when searching
for Rainbow Trail Promo Videos.
Six musical artists have graciously allowed Rainbow Trail permission
to use their songs in RTLC's Promo Video Contest. Feel free
to cut, mix, remix, mash-up, or use the songs as-is in your
promo video. Click on the file name in (parentheses) to
download any or all of the following tracks:

Some video editing software requires that music files to be
in a different format such as .wav. If you need help converting
a song to a different format, send an e-mail to rtlcweb@gmail.com and
we'll help you out immediately.
You can also create and use any original music whether that entails
recording a song you write on guitar, reciting some beatnik poetry
or dropping some mad beats and loops down in GarageBand or other
audio editing software. Again, be as creative as possible!

***THE CATEGORIES***
1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Winners will be awarded in each of the following
categories:
Junior (1-6th grade) Junior High (7-8th grade) Senior High (9-12th grade)
Categories are based on grade entering in the Fall 2008.
People whose age does not fall in these categories are still
encouraged to participate.
***THE PRIZES***
Three prizes will be awarded as follows:
